Former US President Donald Trump rallied for caucus votes in Dallas County and predicted a landslide victory three months before voting begins in Iowa.
Trump spoke at a “Team Trump Iowa Commit to Caucus Event” hosted at the Dallas County Fairgrounds in Adel. He urged voters to encourage friends and family to become a caucus goer and select him in the nation’s first presidential nominating process.
“Remember to get this country on track on January 15th. You have to get out there and you have to show and you call it the caucus. It’s a big deal. It’s a caucus. Defeating Crooked Joe Biden begins with getting your friends and your family and neighbors to vote at your local precinct caucuses. You have to get out.”
Trump also took the chance to criticize President Joe Biden’s incompetence for the destabilization in the world. He said that if he was in office there would be no wars in Israel and in Ukraine, and praised his administration for the four years of peace.
“Do you remember when Hillary (Clinton) said (Trump) will cause war with his personality. He’ll cause war. And I said, no, I’ll end the war. I was right. I didn’t have any wars . I’m the only president in 80 years that didn’t have a war. I got rid of ISIS, we won, we beat ISIS. We did a lot of things nobody could believe. But we didn’t start a war.”
He also promised to drive down the price of gasoline by drilling, stopping the flow of illegal immigration into the country along with preventing Iran from gaining a nuclear weapon. Trump is one of several candidates running for the Republican presidential nomination.
