Greene County volleyball had its third straight winning season with a 15-13 record in 2023. The Rams were third in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference at 5-2, and had only two seniors on the team in Graci Cooklin and Kaylee Stalder.

Stalder led the Rams in kills with 256 (3.3 per set) with junior Emma Shipley next at 166 and junior Payton Kokenge third with 103. Shipley led the team in blocks with 39, followed by 24 from Stalder, 17 by Kokenge and 13 from sophomore Lila Osterson.

Head coach Chris Heisterkamp praised the two seniors for their leadership and their play on the court, noting that with large numbers of veteran players graduating after last season, the two seniors on this team did a great job leading the team.
