It was a bittersweet night for the West Central Valley Wildcats on the gridiron after Friday nights game as they fell to Woodward-Granger 27-6 in their regular season finale. The Hawks took a 20-6 lead into the locker room at halftime before pulling away and sealing their 27-6 win after a touchdown late in the third quarter. Sophomore Hawks running back Talon Fuson had a big night on the ground for Woodward-Granger as he ran for 111 yards and one touchdown. West Central Valley concludes their season at a record of 3-5 after the loss.
The sweeter part of the night however came as West Central Valley qualified for the playoffs despite their loss to the Hawks. The Wildcats will face Sigourney Keota in the first round of the playoffs this upcoming Friday night on October 20th. They will face a Cobra team that will be coming into this game 7-1. I will have much more coverage of this game as we get closer to it right here on K 107.9 and on our website at raccoonvalleyradio.com.
