The high school volleyball postseason in Iowa begins tonight and Paton-Churdan has one more chance to get in the win column. At 0-13 in matches and 0-37 in sets, a youthful Rockets’ squad opens Class 1A regional play tonight at 7 in Colo vs. a Colo-Nesco Royals team that is 6-15 and is a squad the Rockets lost to in the early part of this season.

Greene County starts 3A regional action tomorrow night at 7 in Van Meter vs. Van Meter. Coach Chris Heisterkamp’s Rams are 15-12 on the season and by going 1-2 at Saturday’s Winterset Tournament a third straight winning season was clinched. The Bulldogs, from the West Central Activities Conference, are 20-10. Tuesday’s meeting will be the first in recent seasons between Greene County and Van Meter.
