The AC/GC Chargers football team put in some great work Friday, as they were on the road to take on the Southwest Valley Timberwolves.
The team stuffed the Timberwolves on their first offensive drive, then marched down the field to collect their first score of the game. It wasn’t too much longer, and touchdown number two went up on the board, and the Chargers ended the first quarter up 14-0. AC/GC was held to one touchdown in the second quarter, but kept Southwest Valley scoreless once again, and went into the halftime break up 21-0.
The third quarter saw two more touchdowns for the Chargers, and a switch to the second string players, as they went into the fourth quarter up 35-0. One final touchdown was scored in the final quarter, though the 2 point conversion was unsuccessful, and the Chargers took the game 41-0.
This is the first time that the Chargers have finished the regular season undefeated, and Head Coach Cody Matthewson said he was extremely proud of the work the team has put in all season, and that he’s excited for the postseason to start next Friday, as the team is set to host their first round opponent, Mount Ayr.
