US Senator from Iowa Chuck Grassley pays homage to a colleague who recently passed.
Senator Grassley says that Dianne Feinstein should be celebrated for her lifetime of public service and her ability to reach across the aisle. Grassley says while Feinstein served in public office as the Mayor of San Francisco and Senator from California, she should be remembered as a leader for women’s rights.
“She was quite a leader in the feminist movement, to get things right for women in the United States of America. And she was a real leader in that area and ought to be recognized for that, probably more than serving in the United States Senate or the local office that she held.
Grassley says he remembers his time working with her on stopping the drug trafficking coming into the country. Feinstein served as a US Senator from California for 31 years and died at the age of 90.
