The Perry Area Food Pantry organization is looking for volunteers to help feed those in need.
Food Pantry Operator Lou Hoger says that they currently have three volunteers so they could always use helping hands to deal with the customers directly. Hoger says that volunteers often work two times a month in either the Tuesday morning or the afternoon shift on Thursday.. Hoger tells Raccoon Valley Radio a little goes a long way.
“Our volunteers will say that, and some of our volunteers, they understand this too. They age out and just, you know, some physical disabilities and some things that just don’t allow them to keep volunteering. So we can always use fresh volunteers and just more additional volunteers.”
The Perry Area Food Pantry is open from 10am until 12:30pm on Tuesdays and from 3 to 6pm on Thursdays. For more information about becoming a volunteer contact the PAFP.
