The Little Charger Early Learning Center is getting closer to its goal to have their new facilities paid for.

According to Board President Laura Robson, the ELC recently received a generous donation from Rose Acre Farms in Guthrie Center to help them make sure that the new building and everything needed to run it is completely funded. She says that the $100,000 that was donated is a significant step forward in their fundraising efforts to the new facilities in Guthrie Center. She adds that it’s amazing to see the different ways the community has come and supported the project, and that she’s glad they see the importance of the project to help raise the youngest members of the community.

Robson mentions that they still have roughly $500,000 to raise before they are finished, but that with continued support and donations, they are slowly chipping away at the amount. She explains that if others are interested in donating, no matter how big or small, reach out to one of the board members. Robson says that the next fundraising event they will be holding will be October 28th at the Guthrie County Fair Events Center. She invites everyone to come to the “Speakeasy at the ‘Grounds,” which will include dueling pianos, a basket raffle and live auction.
