A family-fun event is happening this weekend at an outdoor venue in Jefferson.

Deal’s Orchard is hosting its 41st Annual Fall Festival tomorrow and Sunday. The festivities that people can do for free include hayrides, live music with the Fiddlers, and visiting the Apple Barn and the pumpkin patch. Other activities that are only offered during this two-day event and have a fee include sand and spin art, pony rides, face painting, along with two concession stands and food trucks will be available. Chris Deal talks about the fun and excitement this event brings to Jefferson and beyond.

“If we can find time, we step back and just kind of shake our heads at how it’s evolved over the years. The fact that so many people are interested in coming out and being a part of that event, and experiencing it, the little bit of Iowa agriculture that we represent and being a part of it. So it’s jam packed if we get a good weekend. Our best guess is 10,000-15,000 people that’ll be out over the weekend.”

The Apple Barn and Apple Acres are open from 8am-6pm, while all other activities are from 9am-6pm both days.
