The AC/GC Chargers Volleyball team recently competed in the two day West Central Activities Conference Tournament.
The Chargers won their match on Monday in 2 sets against the Woodward-Granger Hawks, scoring 25-11 and 25-13 respectively. Junior Shay Lemke led in assists with 13, averaging 6.5 per set, while freshman Stella Largent led in kills with 5.5 per set, a 35.7% kill percentage and 6.6 points. Senior Jenna Rowley led in blocks with 2, averaging 1 per set, and fellow senior Mersadez Richter led in digs and serve aces, with 11 total digs averaging 5.5 per set, and 1 ace on 5.5 attempts.
The Chargers returned to action Tuesday, falling in both matches. They first played the Van Meter Bulldogs, falling 25-11 and 25-19, then went up against the Earlham Cardinals, falling 25-22 and 25 -17 respectively. The team will return to action October 18th, when they play the winner of the West Central Valley vs Panorama match in the Class 2A Region 4 Quarterfinal.
