The Adel City Council met on Tuesday.

The Council approved the  recommendation for no parking on the Timberview Drive near Highway 169, amended minor changes to the liquor licenses and tobacco permits with recommendations from the State legislature and they awarded a contract to Herberger Construction for the bridge replacement on the street bridge over Beaver Creek. 

They authorized the acquisition of land around Evans Park through use of eminent domain to construct a project called “Evans Park Trail Connections Project.” They set November 12th as the date for the public hearing on the vacation of an alleyway running north to south on block 12 in Adel, and de-obligating $47,387 in Remaining Grant Funds for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Project . 

They tabled a Heart of Iowa Regional Transit Agency request for further information on their productivity.
