The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union and Iowa High School Athletic Association have released State qualifying cross-country assignments. Greene County sends its girls and boys to Winterset on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 4 p.m. for a Class 3A Coed Meet. Other schools at Winterset in addition to the Rams and the host Huskies, are Atlantic, Ballard (Huxley), Boone, Clarke (Osceola), Creston, Des Moines Hoover, Glenwood, Kuemper Catholic (Carroll), Lewis Central (Council Bluffs), and North Polk (Alleman).

Three of the boys’ teams that will be at Winterset are ranked in the 3A top 10 and eight individuals are rated in the top 30 including three in the top eight. The top three teams and top 15 individuals at each 3A qualifying site advance to the State Meet later this month north of Ft. Dodge at Kennedy Park.
