The Jayettes will travel to Jefferson tomorrow night to take on the Greene County Rams on the volleyball court. Perry is coming off their stellar performance in their own Perry Volleyball tournament over the weekend. The Jayettes won all three of their matches. Every win came in 2 straight sets against Des Moines North, Des Moines Hoover, and Saydel. Maci Tunick had 3 total kills in the matchup vs Des Moines North in route to the 2-0 victory. She also put together 2.5 kills in the match against Saydel. Junior Sayra Arceo was another Jayette that had a pretty good tournament for Perry. She had 1.5 kills of her own in the matchup against Des Moines Hoover.
Perry will shift their gears to tomorrow night’s matchup against the Rams. Greene County is 13-10 on the season. Senior Kaylee Stalder has been a force to be reckoned with for the Rams all season as she leads the team in kills with 210. Junior Emma Shipley has 129 total kills of her own on the season as well for Greene County. Those will be two gals that Perry will have to have an answer for. The Jayettes will look to play spoiler at Greene County High School. The match will begin at 6:30 tomorrow night. I will provide a final score update after the match right here on KDLS and on our website at raccoonvalleyradio.com.
