The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.
The Board approved new hire payroll notices for Weston Doyle as a full-time jailer and for Cindi Fox as a part-time jailer and dispatcher for the sheriff’s office. The Board then heard from Darci Alt with Heart of Iowa Mental Health Region, and approved a 28E agreement between the organization and the Counties that are a part of them, including Guthrie County.
The Board also heard an update from Guthrie County Health Services Director Jotham Arber, who covered a few topics including drafting an ordinance on vicious dogs, as there have been several instances of bites in recent months. Arber also shared that county residents can call public health and schedule to receive a flu or Covid shot.
