The Perry Jayettes were back at home on Thursday night at Perry High School in their matchup with the West Marshall Trojans 3-0. West Marshall took the 1-0 set lead after winning the first set 25-12. They then continued the momentum from that first set into the second one, as they won it 25-14 as well. The Trojans took a 2-0 lead at that point in the match. Perry would do everything in their power to avoid getting swept in three straight sets, however, they fell just a little bit short, as they lost their last set 25-18. Maci Tunick had 1.3 kills on the night for Perry, while Gabby Orellana had 8 assists.

The loss moves Perry to 8-19 on the season. They also fall to 1-4 in Heart of Iowa conference play. The Jayettes will have a quick turnaround as they will participate in the Indianola volleyball tournament over the weekend on Saturday. I will provide updates of the tournament after it is done right here on KDLS and raccoonvalleyradio.com.
