The 6-0 AC/GC Chargers football team is on the road tonight, as they make the long haul to Mount Ayr to take on the 3-3 Raiders in some Class A action.

Leading the Chargers in passing and rushing yards is junior quarterback Jathan South, completing 5/14 passes for 174 yards and 2 touchdowns, adding 733 yards and 11 touchdowns in the ground game. Senior Anthony Solorzano leads in receiving yards, with 3 catches for 128 yards and 2 touchdowns, and adds 598 yards and 6 touchdowns on the ground, while fellow senior Tegan Slaybaugh leads the team on the defensive front with 44.5 tackles, 2 of which were for a loss of yards.

For the Raiders, sophomore Jackson Ruggles leads in passing yards with 33 completions on 60 attempts for 444 yards and 3 touchdowns, and adds 328 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground. Sophomore Tate Dugan leads in both rushing and receiving yards, with 494 yards and three touchdowns on 95 carries, and 188 yards and 2 touchdowns on 7 receptions. Defensive leader junior Tyler Martin has recorded 49.5 tackles, 6.5 of which were for a loss of yards, 2 sacks and 4 fumble recoveries.

The Chargers are ranked 7th in Class A, and will be looking to improve their ground performance on both offense and defense compared to last week. The Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network will travel to Mount Ayr as well, and broadcast the game on the KKRF2 online live stream, with the game to begin at 7pm.
