The Adair County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is preparing to bring back a fun program from last year.
Extension Youth Coordinator Caroline Savage says that they are putting the finishing touches on preparing their Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Club projects for when they start working with students at Nodaway Valley Community School District. She mentions that the STEM Club will meet on the second Tuesday of the month starting in November from 3:30-5pm.
Savage explains that they’re looking to start with their Plant the Moon Challenge, in which the students will need to try and grow different produce in poor soil conditions. She adds that they’ll also be working with robots, drones and Legos as well.
