Perry swimming will travel to Ames this morning for the Ames Swim and Dive Invite at Ames High School. The Jayettes will be competing against Cedar Rapids Kennedy, Linn Mar, Valley, Indianola, and Des Moines Roosevelt to name a couple of teams in the meet. The Jayettes last outing was in their home pool on Tuesday night in the McCreary Community Center in Perry as they took on Newton and Oskaloosa in another triangular meet. Perry defeated Oskaloosa by a score of 93-67. However, they fell to Pella 97-65, making them 10-2 on the season. The Jayettes had 3 personal best times in individual events, 2 personal best leadoff relay legs, and 1 school record. Madeline McDevitt, Addison Huntington, Lilly Riley, and Emily Dowd had a 2:16.95 in the medley relay which was 3rd against Pella, and 2nd against Oskaloosa. Jenna Nelson also came in 3rd in the 200 meter freestyle to Pella and 2nd to Oskaloosa with a time of 2:19:20. You can see a complete list of results from this meet below.
