Dallas Center-Grimes’ football team gets back in the win column against a district opponent on Friday for their homecoming game.
The Mustangs caused six turnovers on defense and defeated the Norwalk Warriors by a score of 17-7. Junior Tate Perrin was on fire finding the ball every time Norwalk’s quarterback Aiden Harder threw it. Perrin tied a school record for the most interceptions in one game with three. He now has eight interceptions on the season which is one away from tying a school single season record. Junior Taitn Gray and senior Aiden Charlson both picked up meaningful fumbles. Finally, senior Jaden Jones grabbed his first interception to close to game and seal the victory.
Senior Eli Carpenter scored two touchdowns include one for nine yards out and another from two yards . Sophomore Dylan Lackland knocked down a 32 yard field goal.
Dallas Center-Grimes now is tied at the top of Class 4a District 6 with Lewis Central with two district wins and has a record of (3-3). They will have big road trip next week at Glenwood which will be broadcasted through our KDLS-2 mobile stream.
