
The Perry boys and girls XC teams were back in action last night in their home meet at the Leon Fox Invitational at Perry Golf and Country Club. The girls finished in 6th place overall while the boys took 8th. On the girls side of the things, no one other than Lilly Myers was the first one across the finish line for Perry as she finished in 8th place overall in the race, with a time of 20:53. Taryn Nehring was the next gal in line as she finished in 21st and came across the finish line at 22:17.
For the boys, Yonas Andemichael finished in 6th place overall with an impressive 17:12:60. That is one of Andemichael’s best times on the season. Thad Stewart and Maeble Tekle were the next two guys in line as well as Stewart finished the race in a time of 19:02:90. Maeble Tekle finished in a time of 19:27:20.
It was a strong race for Perry in their home meet at Perry Golf and Country Club. Both teams will be back in the Saydel Cross Country Invitational next Thursday night at Saydel High School.
