The Bluejays will hit the gridiron again tomorrow night as they will take on the Harlan Community Cyclones on the road in Harlan at Merrill Field. It will be the homecoming game for Harlan. Perry is coming into the game 1-4 and off of their 49-14 loss to the Nevada Cubs last Friday night on their homecoming. The big story line coming out of that game last week is QB Geren Kenney’s health as he left the game for a little bit in the loss to Nevada. Kenney has been a force running the football all season long for Perry and has been a big part of their offensive attack. The Bluejays will be major underdogs going into the game as they will be facing a Harlan team who are the defending champions in Class 3A from a season ago. The Cyclones are coming into the game 3-2 and are coming off a heartbreaking loss to Creston last week, 25-22. You know they will be motivated to get back on track against the Bluejays tomorrow night on their home field on homecoming night. Senior QB Will Arkfeld is one guy to keep an eye out on for Perry as he has been a force all season long for the Cyclones in the pocket. He has thrown for 1029 yards and 1o touchdowns on the season. He is also a force on the ground as well for Harlan as he has stacked up 131 rushing yards on the season as well through 6 games. That goes along with 3 touchdown carries.
Kickoff is set for 7 PM tomorrow night from Merrill Field. Brandon Antony will be out in Harlan with the play by play which you can catch right here on KDLS. You can also catch a final score update after the game on raccoonvalleyradio.com.
