The Dallas Center-Grimes boys golf team has quietly rattled off three straight tournament wins.
The Mustangs have won Norwalk dual (275-294), Ottumwa Golf Quad (305) and the Little Hawkeye Fall Classic (310). DCG Head Golf Coach Jordan Ray tells Raccoon Valley Radio that his team is playing their best golf at the right time with state qualifying next week.
“We’re feeling really good about the team right now. It’s actually three in a row. We actually won on Friday as well in a duel against Norwalk. So three straight. You know, boys are playing well. Energy’s good, and we’re just trying to keep the ball rolling.”
Junior Noah Moberg has finished individually in the top 2 in all three of those tournaments while shooting a 68 in the Norwalk Dual, 71 in the Ottumwa Golf Quad Tournament and he shot a 74 in the Little Hawkeye Conference Tournament at Beaver Creek Golf Course in Grimes. Now the team will try and qualify for state in Cedar Falls at the Pheasant Ridge Golf Course on October 2nd.
