The ADM Tigers cross country team is set to compete at the Leon Fox invite tonight, hosted at the Perry golf and country club. The meet is scheduled to begin at 5:00pm.

Coach Josh Chapman shared some insights on the team’s current progress as they approach this meet. “I think it’s been it’s been good we’ve been nice and steady as far as dropping our times and closing our spread and kind of closing the gap on the teams…so we feel like we’re with our training is coming together and and we’re trending in the right direction.” Coach Chapman also highlighted a significant result from their recent competition against conference opponents, the Winterset Huskies. In their home meet last week, the Tigers managed to reduce a 22-second time average difference to just an average 10 seconds.

Breaking it down further, when considering the time difference between five individual runners, it can be equal to each runner is only a few steps behind their Winterset counterparts.. This narrowing of the gap is a positive sign as the Tigers team gets ready for state qualifiers that is expected to take place in a few weeks.
