Monday, September 25th

1:02am: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 300 American Avenue. The facility was secure.

9:22am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of North Grimmell Road.

11:27am: Tammy Binkley reported a Stray Dog in the 300 Block of West Lincoln Way Street. The officer placed the dog in the Animal Holding Facility.

1:00pm: A caller advised of a parking issue in the 200 Block of South Cedar Street. The officer spoke to the owner of the vehicle, who corrected the issue.

1:50pm: Jody Grimsley reported an accident near Harrison and South West Streets. The officer learned a 1997 International dump truck, owned by Andrew Murphy and operated by Jon Murphy of Jefferson, was delivering a load of rock. The dump box was elevated and Murphy pulled ahead. He caught the overhead powerline and broke the line. Alliant Energy was called to repair the downed powerline.

3:59pm: Shawn Combs reported catching a Stray Dog in the 900 Block of West Harrison Street. The officer placed the dog in the Animal Holding Facility.

4:16pm: An officer closed the intersection of 220th and Elm Streets for an emergent Ambulance coming from the north on Hwy. 4.

6:19pm: Paige Hedgpeth requested assistance with a Civil Property Issue. The officer assisted as needed.

6:44pm: A Children’s Hospital Employee advised an officer of a possible Child Abuse with one of their patients from Jefferson. The officer learned the event had occurred in Carroll. The information was forwarded to Carroll authorities.

11:05pm: A Traffic Stop in the 700 Block of North Elm Street resulted in Charlotte Jorgensen of Gowrie being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
