Friday, September 22nd

12:32am: An officer located an Open Gate at 1577 235 th Street. The officer was unable to close the gate.

1:10am: An officer noticed someone inside of the business at 222 East Lincoln Way Street. The officer located an employee inside working.

3:31am: An officer responded to 409 North Oak Street for a Carbon Monoxide Alarm. The officer cleared the residence until Jefferson Fire arrived with a monitor. It was deemed a False Alarm.

8:52am: Ryan Stott reported a semi had backed into a utility Pole, knocking it over, at the Jefferson Airport. The officer estimated the pole damage at $500.00. The officer is working to gather information on the vehicle and driver.

12:34pm: Dispatch advised of an Open 911 Call mapping at 504 South Oak Street. The officer arrived and learned it was a pocket dial and no assistance was needed.

12:56pm: Officers spotted a wanted male at 800 South Elm Street. The officer arrested Robert Harvilicz on an Outstanding Jefferson Police Arrest Warrant for, “Violation of Protective Order.”

2:15pm: The Greene County Middle School requested an officer at 101 Ram Drive, for a student caught with vaping products. The officer is investigating.

4:31pm: Susan Laehn reported a Careless Driver heading into Jefferson from the south on Hwy. 4. The officers did not locate the reported vehicle.

8:17pm: Officers assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 200 Block of South Oak Street.

8:53pm: A caller advised of a Barking Dog inside a residence in the 100 Block of Lincoln Place. The officer spoke to the animal’s owner, who was not at home. They advised they would return and close the windows, ending the issue.

9:23pm: Officers responded to an Alarm Activation at 300 American Drive. The officer found the facility to be secure.

9:24pm: Paige Hedgpeth reported her daycare provider admitted to using Marijuana and drinking heavily when not watching children. She wanted the PD to be aware of the situation.

10:20pm: Officers performed a Traffic Stop with a vehicle in the 1400 Block of North Elm Street. The officer believed the driver to be under the influence of something and requested he step out of the vehicle. The subject exited the vehicle and immediately became aggressive towards the officers. The subject spit in the face of the officer several times during the interaction and arrest. They became involved in a ground struggle and eventually gained control and handcuffed the subject. The officers received several kicks from the subject during the struggle. Devin Christopher Hackfort, 27 of Jefferson, was charged with, “Interference with Official Acts/Bodily Injury- Aggravated, Assault on Persons in Certain Occupation/Bodily Injury – Aggravated, Improper Registration Lamp – Simple, and Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability – Simple.” The officers suffered minor injuries and are following Infectious Disease follow up protocols.

11:24pm: Josh Ballard reported hearing loud banging on his door at 617 South Locust Street. The officer responded, but did not see anyone in the area.

Saturday, September 23rd

12:21am: Stephanie Lewis requested assistance in locating her elderly mother, who has the on-set of Dementia. She believed she may be at the Wild Rose Casino. The officer checked the casino. Camera Footage showed the subject leaving at 2249 hours. The vehicle went north on Hwy. 4. As the officer was leaving the casino, the vehicle passed him coming back south into town. The officer performed a Traffic Stop with the vehicle. The female was very confused. The officer had EMS check her out and the daughter came to Jefferson to pick her up.

8:37am: Dispatch advised of an Open 911 Call from the 300 Block of North Vine Street. The officer did not locate anyone needing assistance.

1:02pm: A Traffic Stop near Cedar and State Streets resulted in Cindy Flores of Jefferson being cited for, “Fail to Have a Valid DL.”

1:56pm: Jordan Sloan reported a family member had been harassing him by text message. The subject had come to his residence at 203 South Olive Street, and drove over the curb and struck his trash can. The can is owned by the City of Jefferson, but was undamaged. The officer is investigating.

6:37pm: Jasmine Ellis requested a Welfare Check on her children, who were staying with their father in Jefferson. The officer made contact with the children and father. They appeared to be fine.

7:51pm: An officer responded with Jefferson Fire to the 600 Block of West Russell Street, for a tree contacting a powerline. They remained in the area until Alliant arrived to fix the issue.

8:08pm: An officer responded to the area of the 100 Block of North Cedar Street, after learning a vehicle was sitting in the area flashing it’s light at passerby’s. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.

9:39pm: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 300 American Ave. The facility was found to be secure.

10:03pm: A Traffic Stop was performed near 220th and Grimmell Road. During the interaction the officer saw a short barreled shotgun in the backseat of the vehicle. The officers performed a Probable cause Search of the vehicle and located a glass smoking device and possible narcotics. Jerry Webb of MO. Was issued citations for, “Fail to Provide Proof of Financial Liability, Operation with Expired DL, and Operation without Registration.” The vehicle was towed to Impound.

Sunday, September 24th

12:53am: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 106 West Washington Street. The business was secure.

8:47am: Dispatch advised a monitoring company advised a subject’s cell phone indicates they were involved in an accident and can not be reached. The officer located the subject and learned his phone fell out of his pocket while riding a motorcycle and was severely damaged.

4:27pm: Carroll County requested officers to stop and hold a female subject in a silver Arcadia. The subject had been involved in an Assault in Carroll county. The vehicle was not found in Jefferson.

5:08pm: Rich Burkhardt reported grass clippings in the street at 708 North Cedar Street. The officer checked the area, and the clippings had been removed from the street.

6:03pm: A subject reported low water pressure on Southfield Drive. The officer could not find a water main break in the area.

******** Officers issued (5) Parking Violation Notices for, “Street Sweeping Violation.”
