2023 local election candidates for Guthrie County’s main cities and school districts have been reported.
In Guthrie Center, Mike Herbert has filed for reelection as mayor, and Fidel Hernandez, Garold Thomas and Ian Steensen have filed for reelection as city council members. Ryan Ketelsen and Curtis Thornberry have both decided to run for mayor in Panora, with Tom Flanery, Shane Gliem and Mark Sheeder have filed for the two council seats that are up for election, and Shannon Barber, Roger Dorr, Blake Michelsen and Justin Rockwell are running for two year terms to fill to vacant seats on the city council. Stuart has two city council seats open, and Michael Kalbach, Kristina Renslow and Craig Russell have all filed to run for election.
