It is homecoming week and weekend at West Central Valley High School. West Central Valley football will be taking on Grand View Christian in their homecoming game tonight. The Wildcats are coming off their 56-8 loss against South Hamilton last Friday night at home. West Central Valley head coach Jim Lindsay had this to say following the teams defeat last week.
“South Hamilton’s a really good football team. They didn’t run up the score by any means. They just kind of scored every drive. It was just one of those things where we just couldn’t get them stopped,” Lindsay said.
The Wildcats will face a Grand View Christian team who is currently 2-2 at this point in the season going into Week 5. They are coming in off their 29-14 loss last week against the Ogden Bulldogs. Lindsay said the Thunder have a pretty balanced offensive attack, and West Central Valley must be ready to counter that as they are set to face them tonight.
“They’re really athletic. They spread the ball out a little bit and like to throw. They do like to spread out to run. We’ve got to be ready for both. Their quarterback is a big kid and he has an arm and they like to use it so we got to contain him. They got a couple of guys who are a threat to take it to the house anytime they touch the ball. We really got to focus on our fundamental open field tackling and offensively we just got to do what we got to do,” said Lindsay.
Kickoff will be at 7 PM at West Central Valley High School. I will provide a final score after the game right here on K 107.9 and raccoonvalleyradio.com.
