Families and people who like comic book heroes are encouraged to come to Jefferson tomorrow to see some of their favorite characters come to life.

Deal’s Orchard is having its “Superhero Saturday” with comic book characters with Avengers of the Knight. Chris Deal says not only do they invite comic book characters to join them tomorrow, but they encourage other groups of people as well.

“But we also partner with our local superheroes. And so the police officers, and the firefighters, the EMTs, the sheriff’s department and have them come out because certainly they do incredible things day in and day out. We want to recognize them as well. We try to make it a fun weekend but also one where we recognize, ‘Yeah there’s superheroes in the comic books, but there are superheroes that are out there amongst everyone of us as well that we like to recognize.’”    

Deal points out the Avengers of the Knight will be at the orchard from 1-3pm. He notes that any local law enforcement, fire department, emergency and first responders, along with military personnel can also get free admission to the Apple Acres.
