The Adair – Casey (AC) and Guthrie Center (GC) School Boards met in regular session Thursday night.
The Boards heard principal reports, in which they heard that both elementaries were happy with how things have been going so far this year, and a superintendent report, in which Josh Rasmussentalked about a mediation with the entire West Central Activities Conference early in the school year about having Grandview Christian join the conference, and reminded Board members about the upcoming elections.
Both Boards mentioned in their reports that they’d heard from several parents and students that Homecoming this year has been a lot of fun so far, and then discussed upcoming dates, including Custodian Appreciation Day on October 2nd, early out on October 11th for professional development and the next Board meeting to be held October 18th.
For action items, both Boards approved special education spending authorization, and updated mission, vision and values. Both Boards also approved the second readings of some Board policies for each district, and then the AC Board approved a contract renewal with Metro West Learning Center, while the GC Board approved teacher lane advancements for three teachers.
