2023 Greene County High School graduate Emma Hoyle had a standout pitching performance on Saturday for Iowa Central Community College (Ft. Dodge). The Tritons were in Cedar Rapids at Mount Mercy and Hoyle dominated from the pitching rubber. The freshman right-hander threw five shut out innings in the 5-0 ICCC victory with 11 strikeouts, no walks, and she allowed just two hits. A pair of relievers rounded out the victory for the Tritons.

Hoyle was a first team All-State pitcher in Class 3A for Greene County last summer and was instrumental in the Rams’ 22-7 record and second place finish in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference. She is the daughter of JJ and Teresa Hoyle of rural Grand Junction.
