The Perry Chamber of Commerce will bring people out to town for a special evening.
Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says they will have “Community Night,” as their summer farmers market from 4 to 7pm on Thursday at Josh Davis Plaza. Pasutti says that community night involves regular market vendors with their abundant fresh produce, and various special guests will be there from around the community with different activities.
“Groups that we typically have, like the Pet Rescue and Perry Fine Arts will be new this year, VFW, the city of Perry, will be there. Friends of the library, Every Step Hospice, Dallas County conservation. So, you know, think of the different community organizations that you normally see out and about doing great things in the community. This is a chance to give them a platform to connect with community members and showcase what they have going on.”
Pasutti mentions that 2nd Street between Willis Avenue and Warford Street will be closed to vehicular traffic. Parking will be available at the Perry Public Library, Caboose Park, and the City lot on the northeast corner of 1st and Warford.
