Both Perry boys and girls cross country teams are back in action tonight in the ADM Cross Country Invitational. Both teams had a week of rest following their last race in the Winterset XC Invitational back on September 7th. That was a race in which the boys finished in 5th place overall as a team, while the girls placed in 4th.

Lily Myers finished in 5th place in the race for the girls with a 5k time of 20:52:57. Taryn Nehring was the next Jayette down the list for Perry as she finished in 18th place with a time of 22:14:52. Lastly for the girls, Cate Erickson finished in 25th with a time of 23:13:30.

On the boys side of things, Yonas Andemichael was the leading racer for Perry as he finished in 15th place overall with a 5k time of 18:14:81. Thad Stewart was right behind him, as he finished in 19th place, with a time of 18:39:33. Andemichael and Stewart have been top racers for the Bluejays in Cross Country all season so far, as they have found to pace with one another throughout these first few races of the season.

The gun will go off tonight at 4:30 at Hillcrest Country Club. I will provide updates like usual right here on KDLS and raccoonvalleyradio.com.
