It’s been a historical season so far for the Jayettes in the pool this season to say the least. Perry faced Algona in a head to head meet last Tuesday night and they came away with the victory, 91-64, to move them to 8-0 on the season, allowing them to continue their red hot start to the season. The Jayettes had 8 first place finishes and 5 personal best times Tuesday night. Emily Dowd, Addison Huntington, Lily Riley, and Jenna Nelson took first place in the medley relay. Quin-Mahler Moreno took first in the 200 meter freestyle with a time of 1:58:96. Addison Huntington took 2nd in the individual 200 individual medley. That was a PR for Huntington by 1.42 seconds. Emily Dowd took 3rd place in the 50 meter freestyle with a 28:96. She was able to PR by .01 seconds. In case you missed complete results of that meet you can catch them below.

Perry has had a long week of rest to get prepared for their meet this upcoming Thursday in Fort Dodge in the Fort Dodge Triangular. The meet will consist of Fort Dodge of course, as well as a familiar foe in Algona. The Jayettes have had Algona’s number all season. We will see if Perry can make it 9-0 by the end of the week.
