West Central Valley football will be back at home tonight at West Central Valley High School as they are set to take on South Hamilton. The Wildcats fell in a nail bitter last week against the Red Oak Tigers on the road at Russ Benda Field, 30-28. The game against Red Oak was a game in which West Central Valley led at halftime, 15-6. The Tigers then put up 16 points in a big 4th quarter that propelled them to the win. The win was Red Oak’s first on the season. The Wildcats dropped to 1-2 with the loss.

Moving forward to tonight’s game at home, after being on the road two straight weeks, West Central Valley will take on a South Hamilton Hawks team that is 2-1 on the season themselves. Those two wins came against South Hardin, 20-14 in Week 1 of the season, and Week 2 against West Marshall as South Hamilton won big in that game, 48-13. The Hawks will look to bounce back after suffering their first loss of the season last week against Roland-Story 29-20. Junior Nick Severseike is a player to watch for the Hawks if you are West Central Valley as he is leading South Hamilton in rushing yards. He has rushed the ball 33 times on the season, for 366 yards, and 4 touchdowns.

Kickoff is set for 7 PM tonight at West Central Valley High School. I will provide a final score update after the game right here on K 107.9 and on our website raccoonvalleyradio.com.
