Tomorrow morning there will be a special event taking place in Panora. Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Registration for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s will begin at 8:30am with opening ceremonies to follow at 9:30, and the Walk will begin at 9:50am at Michael Mills Memorial Park. Alzheimer’s Association Organizer for the event Abby Miesner says that Panora was chosen as a location for one of these walks, as Edward Jones Consultant Dave Grove is the Chair for the committee that plans the walks, and he helped bring them in after losing a family member to Alzheimer’s.

The Alzheimer’s Association is accepting donations towards their $30,000 fundraising goal, which will be used to help fund research about the disease, keep support groups running, and help with advocacy and education about the disease as well.
