Tonight marks the start of Class 2A District 8 football and the Greene County Rams will be at Saydel High School on the northeast side of Des Moines to take on the Eagles in their Homecoming game. Coach Caden Duncan’s team is 2-1 after wins at home the previous two weeks while the Eagles are 1-2 after losing to Colfax-Mingo last Friday.

The Rams average 32 points a game, which includes being shut out in the first game of the season and the Greene County defense is allowing just over 13 points a game. Saydel is coming off winless seasons in 2021 and ’22, and has shown improvement with one victory already and an offense averaging 27 points.
