The Bluejays will be back on the gridiron tomorrow night as they will travel to Storm Lake to take on the Storm Lake Tornadoes. Perry is currently sitting at 1-2 on the season. They are coming off their heartbreaking loss last week at home against the Ogden Bulldogs. After trailing just 7-6 in a defensive first half, Perry fell behind in the fourth quarter even further after a long pass from Ogden quarterback Colby Rohe, as he found Quintin Hoskins deep for the touchdown for the second time in the game. The score then stood at 14-6 as the Ogden Bulldogs had the lead. Quarterback Geren Kenney then led a drive for the Bluejays that ended up tying the game late at 14 a piece. Perry used power running during the course of the drive that led them to tie the game up. After holding Ogden to a 3 and out, Perry had the ball inside the Ogden 30 with less than a minute to go, when a game sealing pic 6 was thrown, giving Ogden the victory.

Perry will look to flush the loss and move on to tomorrow’s matchup. Storm Lake is also coming into the game 1-2 on the season. They fell last week in a close game to Council Bluffs Jefferson 26-24. With two tough losses last week by both teams, it should make tomorrow’s matchup even better. Senior Carson Lullmann is leading the Tornadoes in passing with 671 yards and 8 touchdowns on the season. Sophomore Cameron Boyd is another guy on Storm Lake to watch out for if you are Perry. He has 23 receptions for 357 yards and 4 touchdowns on the season.

Kickoff will be at 7 PM tomorrow night at Storm Lake High School. You can catch the play by play right here on KDLS and get updated on the score after the game at raccoonvalleyradio.com.
