An official with Iowa State University Extension, which includes Greene and Guthrie Counties, recently earned an award.
Rich Wrage is an ISU regional director for Greene, Boone, Guthrie and Carroll counties, and was honored with the R.K. Bliss Extension Award. This award recognizes the outstanding career achievement in developing an overall or continuing extension education program. According to Greene County ISU Extension, Wrage has been with ISU Extension for 29 years and has secured over $100,000 in grants.
Wrage has worked with eight novice regional directors as a trained mentor and has served as interim regional director for five counties. He is an Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame inductee, is a proponent of lifelong learning, a graduate of the National Extension Leadership Development program, and has participated in national Extension conferences and completed several professional development seminars.
Wrage will officially receive the award this fall during the All-University Awards Convocation.
