The Guthrie Center City Council met in regular session Monday night.
The Council approved liquor license renewals for Guthrie County Quality Meats, Apres Bar, Guthrie County Arts Council and Incredi-Bowl, and a fencing permit for the 500 block of North 5th Street. They also approved the first reading of ordinances pertaining to alcoholic beverages, cigarette and tobacco permits, and fiscal management.
The Council then approved hiring Shane Anderson as a public works employee, and heard an update given by City Clerk Kris Arrasmith for the compliance officer on a property on the 300 block of Park Avenue, which the owner has been working to improve the issues that were previously noted. The Council then approved Arrasmith’s request for a donation of $750 for the Farmer’s Market for new picnic tables, and heard from Arrasmith that the new City website is online and fully operational.
