Dallas Center-Grimes cross country teams run well in Marshalltown on Thursday.
The Mustang girls cross country team placed second behind Johnston with 99 points. Leading DCG was freshman Piper Messerly who ran a time of 18 minutes and 20 seconds which placed her individually in second. Others that placed include junior Emily Meyers in 11th, junior Maddy Stevens in 12th and sophomore Addison Dooley in 35th.
The Mustang boys cross country team placed fourth with 129 points. Senior AJ Angus placed individually 14th, junior Elias Arbuckle placed 17th and sophomore Colin Mandernach finished in 21st.
Both teams will be back in action on September 16th at Central College.
