Thursday, September 7th
6:10am: Rick Scheuermann reported seeing headlights from a vehicle on the Daubendiek Walking Trail. The officer did not locate anyone in the area.
10:15am: Mikel Daves reported someone had opened a Version Wireless Account in his name, without his permission. The officer is investigating.
10:33am: A caller reported a dog, which constantly crying and sounds to be in distress in the 600 Block of South Locust Street. The officer is working to locate and identify the animal and owner.
10:35am: An officer was contacted by Hy Vee Security Officials and began working on a series of Thefts at 106 West Washington Street.
11:12am: Adrienne Smith reported a strong odor in the 600 Block of North Olive Street. The officer contacted Public Works employees after determining the odor was coming from a Street Water Intake. They determined there was no danger to the public and are going to attempt to determine what the issue is and correct it.
2:40pm: Ashley Spaulding spoke to an officer in connection to a Civil Issue concerning a cell phone.
3:11pm: An officer assisted Family members with a Suicidal Subject in the 1000 Block of West Adams Street. The officer transported the subject to ER for an evaluation from a medical doctor.
5:05pm: Lori Wheeler reported a neighbor burning in a burn barrel at 105 East Perry Street. The officer spoke to the property owner, who was unaware of Greene County being in a Burn Ban. He advised he would not burn anything further.
7:56pm: Gabe Fincel requested officers at 505 West Mahlon Street for a Civil Child Custody Issue. A group of subjects were present and he reported an Assault had occurred. The officers and a deputy spoke to all parties involved in the situation. The Greene County Ambulance was called to check on a female with a head injury. The officers separated all parties and are continuing to investigate. Charges are pending for several subjects involved.
10:47pm: An officer responded to 106 West Washington Street to check on an Alarm Activation. The building was found to be secure.
