Last night was the Gridiron Gatherin’ in the downtown business district in Stuart.
Many residents and community members made their way to 2nd Street, and enjoyed the fun and festivities, which included bingo, a Kid Zone with two bouncy houses and two face painters, ax throwing, food, craft and retail vendors. Co-Organizers Nate Westre, Sheila Stone and Dustin Capps were all excited to see friends and community members make their way downtown and enjoy the food and games, along with a Silent Disco, where two dee-jays ran three music feeds, and participants could listen to one of the three on headphones that were provided, and danced in the street.
There was also a pep rally for West Central Valley, with the band and cheer and dance teams performing, and then a hula hoop race between the football and volleyball teams, which the volleyball team won. The night ended with a live concert by the Eric Swalwell Band, which lasted from 7-10pm. Some pictures from the night can be found on Raccoon Valley Radio’s Facebook Page, and below.
