West Central Valley’s new Elementary Co-Principal is enjoying her first month with the district.
Elementary Co-Principal Amanda Sickles says that her first few weeks have gone very well, with much help from the staff and faculty around her. She mentions that so far everyday has been fun, and she’s enjoyed the kindness of everyone in the Stuart and Dexter Elementary buildings. Sickles tells Raccoon Valley Radio what her plans for the rest of the year are.
“I’m excited to build relationships with students and staff. That’s something that’s very important to me. I want to get to know everyone really well so that I understand where they’re coming from. I definitely want to kind of have some of the learning behind me so that I’m feeling more competent in my role as well. I’m excited to get to that point of the year. But yeah, mostly really just getting to know everybody that I’m working with, kids and adults too.”
Sickles adds that she plans to lead from the heart, and wants to get to know everyone better. She says she also realizes she doesn’t know everything she needs to know yet, and is extremely appreciative of the patience that has been shown to her as she becomes more familiar with her position.
