It’s conference volleyball for the first time this season when Greene County hosts Nevada in Jefferson and Paton-Churdan goes to Dunlap to face Boyer Valley.
The Rams are off to one of the better starts in the more than a decade since becoming Greene County High School, at 5-3 in matches at 15-7 in sets. Nevada has just a 4-8 record, but the Cubs are ranked number 6 in 4A due to a heavy early season schedule of Class 5A teams. The Cubs are the defending Heart of Iowa Activities Conference champions and have dominated Greene County on the volleyball court in recent seasons.
Paton-Churdan will be playing for just the second time this season. The 0-1 Rockets play on the road for the first time against a BV team that is 5-2 in matches. This will be the Rolling Valley Activities Conference opener for both teams.
