The Perry Bluejays will be back on the gridiron tomorrow night at Dewey Field, as they take on the Ogden Bulldogs. The Bluejays are coming into the game 1-1 overall. Perry of course is coming off the disappointing loss last week to their rival, the Greene County Rams, in the battle of the cowbell. The Bluejays fell by a final score of 55-14. The score was no indication of how the game played out though at first for Perry. They hung with Greene County in the first half as they only trailed 20-14 at halftime. An interception right before the halftime break halted the momentum for Perry going into the locker room. A second half of mistakes and self-inflicted wounds for the Bluejays led Greene County to pull away to the 55-14 victory.
Perry will turn the page forward to tomorrow night where they will take on an Ogden Bulldogs team that is also 1-1 on the season thus far. Ogden is coming off their first win of the season a week ago against Manson-NW Webster, 35-16. Their loss came in Week 1 to the ACGC Chargers 20-19. Sophomore Cayden Dudley is one guy for Perry’s defense to keep an eye on as he is averaging 5 yards a carry on the season going into this game. Dudley is the workhorse in the Ogden backfield and Perry must have an answer for him going into this game.
Kickoff is at 7 PM tomorrow night at Dewey Field. The play by play coverage of the game can be heard on KDLS 1310AM and streamed on wwwraccoonvalleyradio.com. You can catch a final score after the game as well on KDLS and raccoonvalleyradio.com.
