Greene County added today’s Southeast Valley coed cross-country meet to the schedule just last week, but that event has been cancelled due to temperatures predicted to be in the mid-90’s this afternoon, Greene County Activities Director Dave Wright reported to Raccoon Valley Radio. No make up date was announced.

The Rams have had just one meet so far, and Coach Jeff Lamoureux’s Rams did well at the West Central Valley meet last Thursday with four top 15 medal winners. Ava Minnehan medaled for the girls and Noah Hinote, Brady Carstensen, and Gavyn Winters earned medals for the boys.

This Saturday morning the Rams will host their own invitational on the middle school grounds in Jefferson.  Saturday is also the day of the Iowa at Iowa State football game, but the cross-country meet should be over by noon and the football game in Ames doesn’t kick off until 2:30 p.m.
