A program that is only offered once every three years is coming back this year to cultivate the next group of leaders in Greene County.

Greene Leadership 2023 is a four week program that is held on Tuesdays, starting October 10th, from 10:30am-1:30pm at the Greene County ISU Extension Office. Topics that are included in the training are understanding yourself and others, leadership 101, the truth about leadership, effective communication, and being a true difference maker. Greene County Extension Director Lori Mannel says this program works on many levels for leadership.

“This is a program that has been very successful. We bring in key speakers. You learn about a lot about your own personal leadership, but also you take it to a professional level with your employer.”  

The early bird registration fee is $250 by September 15th and lunch is included each week of the program. After September 15th, registration will be $300. Mannel says several employers in the past have paid the fees for their employees to participate. There is also a partial scholarship available for a Greene County female resident.
