It’s the final couple of days that the Jefferson Municipal Pool is open for the rest of the year, as it will close with a special event that’s for the dogs.

Jefferson Parks and Recreation Director Denny Hammen says the pool is open today from 11:30am-1pm for adult lap swim, followed by open swim from 1-6pm. Then tomorrow the pool will be open again for adult lap swim from 11:30am-1pm and then it’s open swim from 1-5pm. 

Hammen points out from 5-6pm tomorrow will be the Doggie Paddle event, where canines and their owners can enjoy the pool before it closes for the year. He notes that owners are responsible for the behavior of their pets, the dogs must be on leashes and are current on their vaccines and licensing. This is a free will donation event with all proceeds benefiting the Greene County Animal Shelter.
