The National Weather Service is advising people in central Iowa to take the proper protocols with the scorching hot temperatures over Labor Day weekend.

NWS reports that conditions will stay dry for the Labor Day Holiday, with plenty of sunshine, but it will turn hot with highs routinely in the 90s today through Tuesday, possibly touching 100 in spots tomorrow . They note humidity levels will be slightly lower than previous heat waves this summer this weekend, but humidity will return Monday and Tuesday. The National Weather Service encourages people to drink more water, limit their time outdoors, find shade or air conditioning and never leave animals or infants unattended in a vehicle.
