The Perry Jayettes won their swim meet in the pool in the Hoover Girls Swim Triangular on Thursday night against both Des Moines Hoover and Des Moines North. The win moved Perry to 4-0 for the first time in school history. The format of this meet had swimmers compete once, having the meet scored three ways. Each team was allowed 2 entries per event. Perry defeated Des Moines North 64-30, while also beating Hoover 83-8. Senior Jenna Nelson was the leading swimmer in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:22:98. Sophia McDevitt also won the 100 meter butterfly as well, clocking in a time of 1:06:87. Those were just a couple of results from the meet on Thursday night. A complete list can be found below.

Perry will look to maintain their 4-0 start this upcoming week. They will head to Boone High School for another triangular meet this upcoming Tuesday night where they will take on both Boone and Algona. Algona is a team they beat back on August 24th, 105-59. Therefore, the Algona Bulldogs will look for revenge in this meet against Perry. The meet will begin at 5:30 at Boone High School.
